High Mountain 4 x 4 Passes

  • Black Bear Pass - closed
  • Ophir Pass - closed
  • Imogene Pass - closed
  • Last Dollar Pass - closed
  • Norwood/Dolores Road - closed

District 1 - 3/23/23

Snow load reduction work was completed this morning and crews were able to remove debris from the roadway. Ophir Road has been reopened effective 2:30 p.m. 

Update as of 3/23/23, 2:30 p.m.
CR 58P from Hwy 62 to True Grit Ranch, personnel were able to reopen access through the snow drifts.  Access has been restored to the area but be aware as it narrows in sections.  Crews will be returning at a later date to complete widening operations.

COUNTY ROAD CLOSURES due to winds and snow.
CR 56V & CR 56L.  Work continues opening and widening the areas where snow has drifted.  These roads may appear passable but are still narrow and hazardous.  Please use the alternate routes.  Crews will be continuing to work tomorrow to open these areas and hopefully, access will be restored by the end of the day tomorrow.

All high country passes are closed.

District 2

The Norwood - Dolores road is closed.

Update 3/8/23. CR 31U is open and passable around Miramonte to Sandy's Fort.  Crews will return on 3/9/23 to widen the road.
