Mental Health

 San Miguel County is committed to breaking through the stigma that surrounds mental health and opening up a community dialogue so that our citizens can find the resources they need. The Health Department can make referrals to the Center for Mental Health, and can also facilitate Mental Health First Aid training for your organization. Local resources include:

  • The Center for Mental Health - Multiple office locations including Telluride, Norwood, and Ridgway. The 24-hour crisis line is 970-252-6220.
  • San Miguel Resource Center -  Telluride Office: 970-728-5660, West End Office: 970-864-2275, or 24-hour helpline 1-844-816-3915
  • Tri-County Health Network - The Main office is in Telluride but TCHN has field staff for the West End area and surrounding counties. Please call 970-708-7096. TCHN provides funding for behavioral health services via the Good Neighbor Fund, offers free/low cost Teletherapy, mental health first aid, safeTALK suicide prevention trainings, and NAMI Family-to-Family classes.
